Simon's had the escape route blocked off, but surely that's bolting the gate after the horse has...no, wait. Anyway, I'm checking in on 4J. How on earth did he get dragged into this mess?

4J's fine. He's back in his cell. We've had an escape and we're trying to track them. So, 4J. Good guy or bad guy?

I got to the tea and coffee before anyone had some and swapped it for some of the previous supplier's that we still had in stock. Still, 4J fell ill and we've rushed him into the infirmary.

Barry reported back - the beverage supplier hasn't folded at all. I'm about to race over to the canteen to investigate.

Something's wrong. It's hard to put my finger on what is going on, but experience tells me something is off. No point in telling the head guard.

Our beverage supplier has folded apparently, we get a new one next week. Simon's being cagey about the details. Hmmm.

I've lost nearly a stone and jogged for 5 minutes comfortably this morning. Quite proud of myself.

Lou and I are getting a pretty strong case for an appeal together for 4J, but I can't help feeling I'm missing something. Anyway, she wrote him an update which is probably why he looks so cheerful today.

Barry reckons he's innocent. Just what a guilty man would say. But then again, also what an innocent man would say. He shared a lot of information, a lot of which makes sense. Will talk to Lou tonight. Jogged for 5 whole minutes today.

Arranged to see Barry tomorrow. Lou's evidence is fascinating but I still think we need a bit of work before it's airtight. It seems very quiet round here and that always worries me.

Got two phone calls today, one from Lou saying she had the proof she was waiting for, and one from Barry. He said he was sorry and we need to talk. When did my life get so complicated...

Derek's had the wind taken out of him. So has Simon. That's a worrying connection.

Managed two minutes jogging this morning...whopdee-doo. Simon avoided me all day. 4J looks worried.

So Simon takes me to one side and says he has to make redundancies to make budget, and that he is recommending to head office that I be amongst them. 'Nothing personal' apparently. I said that was fine - me and the internal mail he had withheld would probably get a job in internal affairs. You should have seen the blood drain out of his face - gold!

Went jogging this morning before work. Well, tried to. I was exhausted after about a minute.Never mind, I'll keep at it. Oh, and Lou said that there was a problem with the judge in 4J's case. She wants to get more evidence before involving me apparently.

Lou's found a major flaw in 4J's case. You know what, I think we just might get him out of here.

Simon says (never did like that game) he may have to recommend cutbacks to meet budget this year, and looked at me. I'm not leaving before I have to damn it!

No reply from head office about Derek's transfer, or at least none that I'm getting. I may have to accept that he's here for now. In other news, I might start jogging.

That's odd. Saw Simon coming out of 4J's cell with a bottle of disinfectant. Since when did head guards clean cells? I don't think he saw me, but that's something else to log away.

Simon is being insufferable. If he stays as head guard I am going to have to seriously consider my future here. If I can make it to retirement at least I get a full pension. And for some odd reason, I don't want to leave 4J here.
